Township Boyz & Galz Matter Org was established in 2016, and is situated in the Strand townships of Nomzamo, Asanda Village and Lwandle, Western Cape.
The centre looks after 250+ children daily, aged between 8 -18yrs. They run a number of youth development programs – Monday through Sunday at their Youth Resource Centre, aiming to educate, upskill and provide a place of learning and support in a gang dominated community.
The centre’s mission is to ENABLE the township youth to DREAM BIG about the kind of FUTURE they want for themselves, and the futures they want for their families and community.
FEED SA has been supporting their feeding scheme, which runs 4 days a week, for many years, and each child receives a hot nutritious meal.
Father Fano who founded and runs the centre, has been in the township youth space for over 10yrs and with the assistance from Feed SA, the centre continues its good work today.
He is passionate about making a difference in these communities, in desperate need of material change in the circumstances and living conditions and the youth and children in particular.
